 whats the deal with this grill?

ive seen this type of front grill (in pic) on heaps of ta22s i reakon it looks hot! hot! hot!  ..whats the deal with them? did they come standard? what model/year? where can i get one? how much?

With a bit of modification I'm sure you could get it to fit, but it wont just bolt on.

Well, that's actually my grill. It comes standard in a ra23. All I did was spray it with chrome spray paint. You could probably get it to fit into a ta22, I modified mine to fit around the intercooler, they are pretty easy to change. I have a few of those grills so you could probably make a swift deal for one.

No no, by all means use it, I was just wrapped that you found it, I was wondering how you got to it, that's all, It's great that you found it.
Yeah, it was black prior to me spraying it, it's simply a black plastic grill, so modifying it is really easy, just chop, sand, drill, whatever you need to to make it fit.

o ok sweet as... so when i go to a wrecker or watever looking for a grill i should just ask for a ra23 or ta23 grill yeh? are there any good toyota/celica part places around sydney? some one told me about a place called celicas celicas celicas but i cant find any info on them.. any help?

yeah, r/t a 23 should do the trick. But I don't know of any wreckers in sydney, I'm not up there.
