JZA70 R154 gearbox questions

I have come across a conversion kit including:
5 speed R154 suit J series engine
Flywheel, tail-shaft, shifter
Brake and clutch pedals
Clutch master and slave cylinders
Clutch line, g-box cross-member
I'm guessing its out of a MK III supra. Well anyway, how many of these parts would be useful in a JZZ30(i think thats the right combination) soarer manual conversion. I know the shifter mechanism has to be modified, what is involved in that , and how much would it typically cost.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apart from the flywheel and the box itself, I doubt you can use any of that. Modifying the shifter means swapping in a shifter from a JZZ30 box, and to get one of those you typically have to buy a JZZ30 box.
In short, not worth the effort; keep looking for a JZZ30 conversion kit.

The shifter is the least of your worries - it can be bent to a more suitable shape that sits about 25mm further back.
Of more concern is the pedals, master cylinder, tailshaft and crossmember which won't bolt up and speed sensor issue if the Supra box didn't have ABS.
