ive had mine done on my sprinter... i am assuming you have one also.
FC brakes and calipers cost me $400 at SSS automotive, giraween.
i took the sprinter struts and FC brakes to a shop in liverpool (forget the name but do a search thru all my posts and u will find it) and they modified them to fit for $650. i dont think the shop will do it for normal road cars anymore... pepsicola will tell u that.
you will need to modify the brake lines to suit.. i went to the brake/clutch shop in montague st in fairy meadow, got me some braided brake lines for $137 for both front struts. yes they are ADR approved.
i've yet to test the brakes and see if i need to upgrade the master cylinder or not.
you will definitely find cheaper places if you shop around.

however, people generally agree that FC disk brakes are weak and swap it for volvo ones... so i've heard.

I've written a bunch about this onto a Sprinter, probably very similar to a T18, or you can swap to AE86 struts. Do a search for it.

Gotta do some messing around, fitting caliper inboard of the wheel and disc outboard of the lower control arm is tricky.

Should be able to get calipers around $250-300 a pair if you look. A bigger 15/16 or 1 inch master cylinder is a good idea.

My advice though, they are total overkill on a 950kg car even for race use. Do something smaller and cheaper and simpler.

Hen

PS. joyride, I can't understand why anyone could possibly describe these brakes as weak, unless of course they drive a mine truck.

i reckon the stock jap brakes are enough with some slotted rotors and some quality pads.

From what I know, the Series IV are smaller, and that the Series V and VI are similar.

Many people use these on track cars and also can't understand why anyone would think that they are weak Rolling Eyes

Weak as in the disc material is weak? Or the braking power is weak? The stopping power of these is not weak at all. Next time I see you at Paul's or whatever I'll take you down the street and show you Joyride.

I've never heard them called "weak" before, but I've certainly heard a lot of ppl telling me that they are overkill!
