Mookie where in tas are you?
reckon the W57 will cope behind a 7MGTE? i'll take it if it's going cheap. They are the same shape as a W58 right? I know norbie put 400HP thru one awhile ago and it took the power.

Hey I'm not sure on the specs of it as i've never really researched it i'm just going on what i've been told .
I know people who put them in v8 4x4s and commodores so i recon it would handle it.
I dunno what a w58 looks like but i would imagine they r pretty much the same your more than welcome to have a look at it if ur near or if ur not get some1 u trust to check it out
I'm near hobart like 10 mins away.
As i said the gearbox has a good reputation from what i've been told but i don't know from experience.

darn i'm at the opposite end of tas, in forth, near devonport and ulverstone. But if it was going real cheap i'd come get it. When you said it was going to the tip that got my attention. And I'm looking at going manual anyway.

it all depends on if i have to deliver it and what we can agree on as a good price.
I've spend most of today cleaning it so at the moment it's spotless.

I don't have a clue as to what it looks like on the inside all i can tell u is that when it was driven it was perfect nothing wrong at all no strange noises and no metal flakes in the oil.
I don't think i have the know how to take is apart and put it back together.
I was thinking maybe $200 without the bell housing
as it's imaculate on the outside. I cleaned it all up and the splines r in great condition i also put a thin film of grease on the to protect them from moisture

Sorry EMP-2TG, I didn't want to jump the que for the box. I just thought freight on a g'box would make this a a bit to expensive for a non Taswegian. My apologies once agian.
Cheers,
Justin
