Troy, you'll just have to keep your eyes open for toyota parts that come in from Europe or south Africa, possibly New Zealand. Remember that model GLi Twincam EXECUTIVE!!
Paul, I work at Newtown these days but you're not far away, If I pass by, i'll beep ya.

Then this mustn't be from NZ coz nowhere did it say sprinter. Are SX's called sprinters in NZ too?
Hmm, how many other countries use RHD? I think the carribbean might be RHD.
I wonder if I could get a list of RHD nations

I reckon that its a Rice Corolla... The owner may have just got the stickers and placed them on the car... I have never heard of "Executive" being used for Toyotas... The only manufacturer that I can think of for that is Holden...

Cool, I always wondered if there was an ae92 besides the liftback seca that was actually in good taste and wasn't BUTT-ugly quite literally.
Although I did see something interesting at tafe the other week. It was badged a corolla II and while it was the stunted ugly little hatchback shape, it's rear actually had style. In the rear lights mostly.
As for the executive badge, don't forget the slugna's as well. It must have been an early 1990's thing, everyone was doing it.

I have seen a corolla II getting around hobart before, from memory they look like a ae82/ae92 cross with 2 doors, pupup lights and an 'E' series engine. There was also a turbo version, i guess that the ones imported would be turbo to make it worth while.

I just did another websearch for the corolla II and found that they don't all have popup lights. the later versions (early 90's) kinda look like a starlet.

After seeing those pictures, I'm now thinking, what was it that toyota released in volume over here? It wasn't a camry, but it was a sedan like that corolla. Would have been the early '90's.
It was those corolla sedan's wasn't it? I see them quite frequently. Very similar looking, but the front is more curved like the widebody camry and not so square. Yea, I'm sure it was a rolla. The tail is slightly different too, and I doubt they had 200+ on the speedo.
That one in the pictures is pretty unique looking still.

Apollo, you're not just talking about a regular ae92 sedan are you? the ones release in Aus never came with a 4age. just the 4afe & 4afc i think.

Probably is. I saw a few more over the last two days. Holden rebadged some as nova's. You all should know the one I mean now.
But onto the car in the topic, funnily enough, I got behind a white one of those yesterday through Aspley. I kid you not, I sat behind it for quite a while sizing it up, and yep, it was one of those boxy 'rolla gli exec's.

My friend was driving his brothers Ae92 Sprinter around for a while, only one I've ever seen. It was exactly the same as an AE92 Seca SX, 'cept for a few different badges and stickers, and the Toyota logo was different. What country did these come from?
