just wondering would the whole thing not work if say one water temp sensor is not connected, i get the bacround light but no info.

id say no, ur controller must be fucked. Well theres no reason why it shouldnt show whats happeneing even if there is a few sensors missing. Try and find someone else local running a microtech and plug into there computer and see if it works.
