Yeh a few people have done it. Im in the process of bolting a 1JZ into my MX73 From what I understand, the swap is far easier with the MX83, all you need is a Chaser half cut because it is front mount (I used a Supra front mount half cut because I was too impatient to wait for the Chaser ). You swap everything from the chaser half cut straight into the Cressy. I dont know the exact details, you will need to do a few other minors things, some of the others will give you more details.
