2-3kgs of rust???? with the fact that rust weighs almost nada then that would mean 1/4 of the car is rusted...
lets re-phrase...
how many rust spots?
average diameter of rust spots?
at the end of the day it is always better to do it properly. if there is just too much then do a cover up, but if there a few small/average sized ones then do it properly

^^^^ what he said but if the rust is not anywhere structural then quick fix, ie, rub/grind it back a bit and fibreglass nikki

of the rust in the pics the only main one i can see is the roof and that would be a CUNT to fix and the petrol area.
the car looks quite straight other than the door (but thats nothing at all), interior looks good too.
in my opinion i would do all the small ones properly cause they will end up like the roof soon. as for the big ones you should do it properly but get someone to do it, especially the roof cause the roof can buckle very easily under a mig when welding
thats my opinion, so all in all do it properly

looks like the major rust in the roof has been repaired badly once before - hence the nicke crack and bubbling.
To me, I would be looking for another shell. It all depends on haw far you want to go - you want a cheap run-a-round then bog away! It would be interesting to see actual damage under that paint in the roof!
If you do repair with bog, make sure you take back rust as far as you can to bare metal, then treat with rust treatment to "help" minimise re-occurance not happening too quickly!
What do you want to do with the car - cheap runner or show car?

the rust reapair is the easy part cause we gotta change the sump thats the prick of a job
