Turboing n/a 99 corolla - info required Mon, 27 September 2004 06:57
I have a 99 model 1.8lt Auto corolla which im about to turbo charge.

The engine which will be standard internally and i will still be using all factory parts.

I have a Nissan GTiR Turbo and Intercooler, Custom stainless steel manifold, Double dump pipe, 2 1/2 Inch mandrel bent exhaust from turbo back, Apexi SAFC and Blitz dual sbc boost controller. So far it owes me 2k all up. I will be fitting all of this some time soon. Hopefully with in the next month.

What i need to know were is the best place in the block to tapper into for the oil and water line? Or can i feed it from some were else on the engine?

How well do SAFC's work?

Whats a direct fit higher rating fuel pump aswel??

Whats your thoughts on the auto holding up and the whole conversion?

After the fitment of a thicker head gasket boost will be raised to approx 10psi.

I know its pretty stupid but doing it because i can while i wait for the new project. I just want some extra go. Hoping for a hi 15/ low 16 at about 90mph from it. On the dyno will be looking for around 110hp @ wheels.

If any one has done such a conversion or similar please post up.

Thanks
H.
