XT130 struts into KE55..

Howdy once again.
Was trying to be tricky, and not screw around with cutting/welding, by using the KE strut tops with the XT130 strut/spring/holder, but just realised that the KE strut top is flat whereas the XT130 bulges down.. Obviously it won't fit, damn it!!
Now, can I put a big, fat "washer" to go between the spring holder and strut top, or would that cause problems? I'd assume that as long as the "washer" is lubed properly it shouldn't case any problems. Anyone shed any light?
Already tried the KE spring holder on the XT spring, but it's to small, same with the KE spring in the XT strut.

No you don't want to put a washer in, that will make your car sit even higher (not to mention the extra load on the shock shaft). Also I suspect the spring is too big for the strut tower anyway...
What you want to do is use the KE top spring platform and strut top. Like you discovered the XT spring won't fit because the KE top spring platform is too big. You've also noticed the KE spring doesn't fit the XT strut.
So, you'll want to get AE86 springs. Not sure if KE70 ones are the same, I think T18 ones are different (they looked different to me). If you get lowered AE86 springs (KTFL33 I think), it'll sit your KE55 at stock height.
