18RGEU Gasket Kit

Ok I'm in the middle of rebuilding my 18rgeu and I needs gaskets.
I rang Toyota and they want $590 for an overhaul kit. Is that a fair price? can I get one else where? Has anyone else had this problem b4?

It cost me $140 for my head gasket kit for a 18RGEU solex powered motor. That must be a metal-gasket kit for that price.

What gaskets do you need. Ask for a valve regrind set (VRS). You'll get inlet and exhaust gaskets, head gasket, valve stem seals, possibly the little rubber seals that sit under the rocker cover to seal the spark plug holes etc. A rebuild kit probably includes timing chain tensioners and the like.

Mate,
Ring John at Celicar Spares in Wetherill Park.
He has the Full 18R-G gasket Kits there. Normally they are $195 but tell him Rod from Toymods Gave you the number and he will do it for you at $150.

just ask toyota exactly what is in that. If you get chain guides etc it sounds a fair price. It might include rings/bearingsa and stuff too.
