Q's Bout Turbo For GZE-20V??

I am running a 4agze block with 20 valve head and turbo in my AE82 hatch. I am looking to upgrade my current turbo (ulp cordia) to a larger ballbearing model.
I am currently looking at a modified T28 with a TO4 front wheel.
I am looking for a turbo, that when tuned well will get me a 12 sec pass. I know traction will be limited, i am running a LSD mr2 box so that should help as long as the clutch is up to the job.
Do you guys think this is a good choice, i have been told by many that just the straight T28 would be a deadly turbo for the street, but i am really after quick times aswell, and would not want to buy it if i will just want to upgrade soon after.thats why im not going with somthing like a t25 etc...
so if any one else is running the same or similar setup to me, maby you could gimmie some feed back, even in a RWD car would help in the pwr figures area.
any help appreciated.

As far as i know the bottom end is standard, not sure what model engine. does any1 know a way to check, eg. eng number??
would like to find out cos some as far as i know had forged pistons n rods some didnt, am i right? they all had oil squirters yes? some even had ceramic coated pistons aswell yes?
how much boost were you running for the 170rwkw???
the only prob i can see me having is actually fitting the turbo between the block and radiator. the dam mount and rad hose make it a bitch, but, it will fit
so thats 12's on street rubber, sound great for a steeter, yeah, traction is really the key to good times, rwd or fwd.
any1 got any pics of a similar setup as mine with a t28? i was even thinking af trying a high mount?

how much power u got because in a fwd car traction is hard to get with a lot of power unless your turbo has a lot of lag
come on boost ya bitch ahhhhhh

yeah, was thinking bout using a external too, i know that this will give better boost control allowing more flow out at high boost, but i am still tryin to keep on a low budget
ie, the boss (missus) wont let me spend too much
from what ive been told by most of the turbo guru's i know is to get big numbers from a 4ag is to go for a huge comp wheel and a tight exhaust wheel and housing. and ball bearing of course.
how much boost do you think a gze block can handle in standard form?

There are a few around NZ and here that run 18psi on the standard internals, probably some that run higher too!

If you currently have a ULP Cordia turbo (TC05) then a TD05-16G (evo lancer) turbo will bolt to you manifold. You will have to check on clearance to you block/radiator though

are they ball bearing?
sounds interesting. but yeah, thats what its got on it at the moment, just always had TD in my head, not TC.

this exact same question was asked on the staion 2.0 forum.
evoIII 16g bolted to a 2.0L 3350 pound awd mitsubishi pig and has powered it to 11sec quarters.
Best 't28' I've seen is the one used on this car; Gone 11s also
http://www.wincom.net/trog/car.html 348hp/376wtq at the wheels!
Look at the torque figure. This $600usd turbo has took a full wt. s13 stock motored sr20 hatch to 12.2s quarters, with -severe- tracton problems... spinning drag radials! Doesn't make hp like the expensive overated GT stuff, but the torque is substantially higher and has the ETs to back it up.. better than the small frame GT turbos.
