bahhhh search police
ma70 chassis comes with
7mge = 3.0L non turbo 200hp @ 6000rpm and 185ftlb torque @ 4800rpm
86-88 7mgte = 3.0L turbo 230hp @ 5600rpm and 240ftlb torque @ 4000rpm
89-92 7mgte = 3.0L turbo 232hp @ 5600rpm and 253ftlb torque @ 3200rpm
the 7mgte is single turbo with a toyota steel single entry ct26
1/4 time depending on driver review mag you read but usually bout 15.3 not sure what speed
0-100kph 6sec average for the 7mgte
the 89+ 7mgte has a fully balanced crank but in sacrifice for this fully counterweighted crank you get a lower redline
the 89+ also has the oil squirters for the pistons
fully counterweighted crank is labeled as a 7M crank
6M crank lies in the 86.5-88 7mgte's
with very little money you can crank alot of hp out of this 80's powerplant
a little bit of info for ya

I'm not %100 sure, but i think you may of made a few mistakes with your figures.
Yes the Hp and torque did go up a small percentage for the 89-92 models, but the torque figures should both be listed @ 3200RPM.
All the 7MGTE engines had oil squirters and counterweighted balanced cranks.
1/4 mile is really that slow for the supra? sheesh i thought it was at least in the 14's oh well i'll have to start modding one of these days.

Early 7M's have a single counterweighted crank, later ones are double counterweighted (I've seen both). I think the changeover point is around 88/89?

yes they are
They weren't torqued down hard enough from the factory. If you want to upgrade it would be the first thing to do. I can't remember the figure that they should be torqued to though.
maybe check out www.7mpower.com

wow some ppl that do actually know mk3 supra engine bits hehe
yes the 86 87 88 had the 6m half counterweighted crank... 89-92 had fully counterweighted.. 87 89-92 had oil squirters
i believe you may be right with the torque figure.. can't see how that would change with just redline being different lol
i got the info from...
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Pit/9975/dataBy Subject/GasolineEngines.html#M-series
yea stock 1/4 is pretty rought but its alot of weight to haul down the strip
tickle em a bit and they do 13's with $1500 of mods
and yes head gaskets do go coz of not being torqued enuf from the factory.. factory torque is 58ftlbs that expect that to hold together a 6cyl turbo lol
new torque should be bout 75ftlbs with metal head gasket (at least she ain't gonna blow with that ) and brand new head bolts from toyota or get arps
hths

Note that the early crank has "6M" stamped on it, but it is NOT the same as the 6M-GE crank. Weird I know!
