the s/c doesnt have an oil cooler.

I would shield the alternator if you did mount it there not only for water but for rocks aswell.

HELL YEAH

Took a day off work today (and didn't get called back in till now) and I got my fuel line sorted, more heat wrapping on my vapour lines, made a stainless battery tray for the front and two shiny bits of stainless bent up to form a nice heat shield.
Hopefully the rest of the wiring and a couple of little things on Saturday and battery relocation on sunday. Would luurve to kick it over this weekend!

Looking good for the 22nd, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

4agte, the performax isnt the ultimate. they still dont do a ultimate for the aw11. but while i can get em cheap at work, i'll use the Bendix pads. Wink

wiso, on the smallport 4agze the alt sits down low under the a/c compressor and the power steering pump sits up above the a/c compressor. on the aw11 4agze the alt sits up top and the a/c compressor below it. what alt-a/c braket do you have?
the 4age and 4agze alt's are different and uses different wiring plugs. the 4age a/c pipes are different at the compressor but if you have the 4agze a/c compressor and that pipes from it to the joiners that are at the firewall you are set.

you can use the oil fiter sandwhiches from the 4age on the 4agze to use the oil cooler on the firewall.

hope some of all this makes sense? beers are cold and taste great. Very Happy

yes.... yes that statement does make sense

You are GOD Laughing

yeah I have all 4age gear, alt, a/c comp, and piping, wiring but I think its all good, I am going to mount my a/c as normal on the normal bracket, and weld up another bracket to go below this and hold the alt. I do have the bracket from the levin, with the alt at the bottom, a/c and power steering, but it won't fit on the 2 since it has those cooler lines and 'sandwhiches', there.

well the way its looking I will most likley be looking good for this meeting, I have been going really good on the engine the last few days, most of the gear is on, all the wiring is done, just gotta put the fuel system back on, make an alternator bracket and coil pack bracket. then of course the cooler mounting and piping, and get all the gear to set up the water injection. simple

does anbody know what boost pressure their indash LED comes on? is it like most other standard ones in toyotas at 3psi?

I know that light is controlled by an ecu pin, but does SC mr2s have a boost pressure sensor on it? anywhere, maybe on the side of the head or anything?

ohh ok I was wondering cause the one in my celica comes on when the pressure hits 3psi

if it is just positive pressure this would tell me that they don't have boost pressure sensors, sweet Very Happy

Are you sure no one stocks the actual twin pots pad? when I got mine they had them in the book for ST185 twin piston, although yeah they look the same as the pic you provided, they are also identical to the Subaru Legacy. I am currently using Pagid ones, they are damn good, but I like EBC greens better, trick is ST185 ones aren't available in EBC, but Legacy ones are Rolling Eyes go figure

what is the EBC part number are are using for the twin piston calipers i cant find anything that matches...

An excedy brass button clutch will NOT handle 200atw.

Looks like i'll be getting something a little more up to the task.

Untill then, looks like im limited to 14psi and about 170kw Sad

toof to be honest man I really don't remember, I got them almost 2 years ago, I would have to find the box, and I may have throuwn it out. they looked up the the items in the Pagid book, not the ebc book or bendix book.

thanks for that mighty boy, hmm it could work for my plan then.

have the setup apart.... I never have those brakes apart anymore cause they are on the celica and I don't give a shit about that car anymore, If I can't find the box I'll go down to the place I buy them from, they are the Australia wide ditributer on EBC pads in OZ, they rule! Very Happy

umm yeah i think I mentioned before that the GT4 pads aren't available in geenstuff, but the Legacy ones which are the same are available in greenstuff. there is one minor differance between the pad, the GT4 ones have 2 holes in the top for the anti squeal clips, while the legacy ones do not have these holes. no biggie Rolling Eyes

yeah man i made it.

its taken a while to find an internet cafe. Its easy enough to communicate with people if you know what they call the things. Like if i said internet cafe they would shyly smile and look arrounbd for help but if you say internet BB (BB is the name of the internet cafe) then they will point you where you need to go. In fact the guy from the rental car store walked halfway home with me so that i didnt get lost.

The internet cafes are mad 5 buks for an hr and free soft drinks.

Alot of the cars are modified in some way in japan. Most people have tv screens mounted on their dash infront of the driver. I guess thats for when they get stuck in traffic it could also double as sat nav. Still hanging out to see an mr2 but havent been so lucky yet. The modified cars rang from mild to wild there was a nice mz20 soarer i saw which was pretty worked and i got some footage of that and also lots of vip cars aswell as a pimpin van which i got some footage of for exodus.

edit: the first car i saw when i walked out of narita air port was a highly modded yellow r34 gtr Evil or Very Mad

Im planning to get out and see some tuning houses today and im gonna make my way out to tsubuka circuit in a few days.

edit: im also going to visit an up garage store so ill be lookinbg out for any parts of interest.

Im prettey happy with myself as finding an internet cafe was a big deal.

Last night i went to a pretty cool maket thnging and couldnt resist playing inital d stage 3 the game was kick ass it prints you out this tuning card and you get tuning points so you can do up your hatch roku (i picked the 86) and then come back put your card back in and you can pick up where you left off.

Anyways im missing australia allready and looking forward to seeing you all on the 22nd and ill endevour to find a usb cable so i can upload some pics.

The ECU engages the supercharger based on intake manifold vacuum. When the vacuum drops below 8" the supercharger clutch is engaged. The clutch stays on untill the intake manifold vacuum has risen to over 10" for a period of 5 seconds. This time delay was added to avoid cycling of the clutch during shifts and momentary throttle transitions.

umm just wondering, mostly fat why do you guys keep saying ghetto rides, was looking up the meaning of ghetto and this is what came up
Quote:

1. A section of a city occupied by a minority group who live there especially because of social, economic, or legal pressure.
2. An often walled quarter in a European city to which Jews were restricted beginning in the Middle Ages.
3. Something that resembles the restriction or isolation of a city ghetto:

or in the thesaurus one of the many definitions that wern't music players were this, is this more what you meant?
Quote:

Definition: disadvantaged
Synonyms: cheapened, depreciated, deprived, destitute, devalued, distressed, ghetto, impaired, needy, poor, poverty-stricken, run-down, shanty, skid row, underprivileged, weakened

ohh never mind I think I found the definition of it on Urban dictionary, this it?
Quote:

4. (adj.) jury-rigged, improvised, or home-made (usually with extremely cheap or sub-standard components), yet still deserving of an odd sense of respect from ghetto dwellers and non-ghetto dwellers alike
