I am the second owner of an original KE25....would like to convert it to a 12AT. Does anyone know of someone who owns and has converted one of these cars before ?
Also looking for a set of four Toyota Coronas 13inch wheels and tyres.

Plenty of people have rotarised the KE20 (which will require the exact same work as the KE25). Can't think of anyone on these boards who has done it though???
GRIMAS is a 13B turbo KE20 (Pac Perfomance Car), and there are a few other workshops that run rotary KE20's.
Just do searches on rotary KE20's and you should find some info, the KE25 is a little rarer and hence less have had rotary conversions. It is essentially only from the doors back that KE20/25's differ, so engine bay and transmission work will be the same on both.
Good luck with it.
Ask for the Corona rims in the Wanted section and you should get a response.

you will need to be careful here, as according to nsw laws, it is not a legally possible conversion. it can be done though, some engineers will pass it.

Thats right, the deadly 4 wheel drums.
When mine was stock and my brother owned it, I was always amazed at how much distance it took to pull that thing up

Yeah, its a bit dicey isnt it. Thankfully you can go the 4spot Hilux option if you are really psycho. I think you need AE71/86 lower control arms though

just for info.
some KE20/25 had 4 drums.
some had 200mm front disks with akebono calipers.
the KE1X series also had the option of front discs (200mm) but the pistons in the akebono calipers are 10% smaller area.
there ARE also PBR calipers for both KE1 and KE2, but these are much rarer, being aussie built and supplied versions.
do you have a 2 bolt or 3 bolt strut bottom?
does your KE25 have a transverse leaf at the front?
some did (early) and some didn't (late)
basically some have KE1x running gear
oh yeah, and abotu the max you can fit is a 10A legally (being 2L) an NA 12A is 2.4L which is a bit big for engineer to pass.
also the crack centreline of a rotor is very high, so say goodbye to your transmission tunnel... if you went turbo you'd want to fit a supra box anyway...
Cya, Stewart
ps, a better idea would be to sell the mint KE25 to someone who wil keep it original, and then get a shitter to convert to turbo rotor...

Some good info there Stewart.
Never knew the early 25's had the transverse leaf setup in the front end!
Best bet is to give the mint KE25 to me so that the KE25 I have now doesn't get lonely in the garage when I am not driving it
