I have been playing with the idea of putting 2 ct26 turbos on my 1g, I will be making a custom manifold for them myself.
Or do you think that a single turbo, say an S4 rx7 turbo hiflowed or somthing
Or just get a kit of kristian
Im looking for a way to get power without lag any thoughts
Cheers
BEN

ha thats the snag isnt it, well u coudl get something hybrid.
since its a 1g u could get away with a lot.
what about a t04 (ball bearing) or somthing like that,
as for lag u would want as short as possible from the turbo, so u want a water intercooler, and if u wanna go all out get a electronic boost controller.
having all of these and something like a t04 u arnt gonna get much lag.

Wouldn't a pair of CT26s on a 2.0L be lag heaven?

The CT26 is a big old school design. If you really want twin turbos, I'd be looking for something smaller.

I do agree that 2 x CT26's would be 1 x too many - I didn't read teh post correctly in the first instance.
I suggest single high flowed CT26 may very well be better than the S4 RX-7 item, but I would ask around various turbo companies about this.

Personally I'd be fabricating a manifold for a T28 or an RB25 turbo if you want to save some initial expense, then replace it with a GT25 or the like when you have more dosh. That would be a much nicer match for a 1G.

The S4 RX7 turbo has a HUGE exhaust housing, it will definitely be lag city... the CT26 is a better match, but will still be kinda laggy. Twin CT26's will be stupidly laggy, but will support over 600hp!

And for all that extra lag, the CT26 will only match the Gen3 twins.

So what your saying is that theyed be a bit lagy
The problem that im having is that I want about 250rwkw and I now im not going to get this without a bit of lag,
Would the ct26's handle this power?

Yes, they will probably be capable of this power, but they will be horribly laggy on a 1G.

I'm thinking a GT30 is probably going to get you there, but you'd need to speak to someone who knows for sure. One of the GT25 based turbos may get you up there too.
