I think i better introduce myself Fri, 01 October 2004 12:57 Go to next message
Evening all,
Im Browny (aged 19) from the southern Hills of adelaide. Im a friend of Big Jons and am currently looking into the wonderful world of the 4agze. Being abit of a car nut as i am i wanted something differant and seeming as the police love to hate me im leaving all my hooning for the track. So that means im building myself (with the help of my brother in law) a track car. still remains abit of a mystery to everyone but i have released that it wil be powered by a 4age to start with then bolt on the supercharger.

It shall be alot of fun i think. The only thing stopping me is the $$$ to do it. im nearly there though. would have enough in a month to completly do the project but due to some unforseen court case (i was alittle stupid) my funds have somewhat gone down (did u know lawyers cost 2 grand for a day). But i expect to see change from 5 grand.

The other car i own is a r31 skyline silhouette which is too slow for my liking. I need something better otherwise Big Jon will soon be beating me through my own strech of hills once he becomes accustomed to his car (yes jon i dont want to hear about your two turbos).

wow sorry bout the long post but meh im sure u r all capable of reading. Stay tuned for updates on how the project is going.
For now i bid u farewell.

Hmmmm... Clarendon roads (i live 2 mins away).

Good luck with the project.

Is the block/head 4AGE or 4AGZE?
If its a 4AGE that you then supercharge with a SC12 or SC14 youll probably have detonation problems as the compression will be too high.

yeah i have gone through all variation of what to do and i think ill put in the 4age first just to get it running so i can take it for a few tests on the suspension setup and brakes. then once i think its ready ill throw on the supercharger and tune it so it wont miss a beat. Its gonan save me alot of $$ doing it myself i think. The most expensive parts for it are the parts im getting companies to make for me.... like the extractors. 4 into 1 tuned length extractors have to be custom made to fit the car with the 4ag in it. there goes $1200 alone.

btw jon i will still whoop u on the road. I do it nearly every day... i know the road.

You cant simply "tune" it out Sad
To run the supercharger on a standard 4AGE youll need to install low comp pistons or run a thick copper headgasket.
Neither are simple jobs to do.
