I am using this new gmail to dump assignments and documents as a back up if the computer fails. Uploading (sending the files) to myself individually is laborius, is there any way I can select a complete folder containng numerous files to upload at once.
Have you thought of RAR'ing or Zipping?
This way you can retain the directory structure of the files you are uploading, it also allows you to password protect your files. You can also specify the maximum size of the rar or zip files and have it span accross multiple volumes (eg, if you have a directory of 100MB worth of files that may compress to 50MB, it can then split them in to 10 x 5MB files). I think there's even an option to stop files being split accross volumes.
I'm not sure what the file size limit per message is with GMail though, someone else might be able to chime in.
