Will the POWER FC work on my car??

I currently have an 1986 Soarer with a 1997 1JZ-GTE engine (non VVT-i), I'm looking for a Power FC for it but the word I have received from a few people is that it may not work for the engine because it's in the older car....
Has anyone with an old school soarer + 1jz, installed a power fc?
Were there any problems?
Cheers guys!!

If you are running the factory management and loom for the 1JZ at the moment, it should work

I was under the impression that most conversions didn't use the whole loom? Is this incorrect?
My car does have the whole chaser loom in it and barely and original wiring and it was much harder to wire than usual.
BTW I am looking into a Wolf 3D v4. plug and play but my car is auto so I am not sure if it will work or if I have to get a normal one and wire it.
Is your car auto or manual? I think there is a place called AP Engineering in Japan that mods the Power FC's to run autos. Could be wrong though

sorry a little off topic here but Chris have you bought your wolf yet, becuase I was looking into one and a few people have told me that they arent very good for yota motors?? Is this correct?
and dont get a Power FC for a 1JZ they are built with nissans in mind, go for something like e-manage or a microtech, they suit toyotas a lot better

I am in the process of getting a wolf 3d V4 also. I heard the same roomer that they are not good for toyota’s. As for the auto the tuner told me it will be fine...err I hope so too. Anyone have any experience with the wolf on a 1g-gte or other toyota’s engines with an auto??

No I haven't got it yet but from what I have seen it seems to be a very good unit. Has a heap of flexibility in tuning and many different compensation items. I haven't heard this rumour before re wolf and toyota?

I doubt the rumour is true anyway, upon inspection of the Wolf Website they have a wiring section dedicated to toyotas and 1GGTE's so I would imagine they would be decent.
The wolf is a highly underrated unit just becuase it is made locally, they have all the capabilites of the supposed "high end" ECU's but they are two thirds the price
