Hey guys.. what the conversion from kilowatts to horsepower ?
say if a car has 140Kw at the wheels, how many horses at the wheels does that equate to ?

Divide your kW figure by 0.745 to give hp.

Hope this helps:
Kw x 1.34 = HP
(140kw x 1.34 = 187.6HP)
HP x 0.75 = Kw
(187.6HP x 0.75 = 140Kw)

I always use one value for both:
kW x 1.341 = HP
HP / 1.341 = kW
The 1 is important on the end as:
kW x 1.345 = PS
PS / 1.345 = kW

I have a good little program for converting alot of different things like KW's to HP or HP to KW's and PSI to BAR etc etc etc the list goes on it won't let me upload it here its about 500kb. I'll try get it up on the web if anyone wants it or email me its a good program.

55Kw x 1.341 = 73.755Hp...
wow!...73.755hp..
i think ill tell ppl my starlet has 74hp from now on..it sounds more powerful!
