Camry Cigarette Lighter Problem

Guys,
Maybe someone out there has had a similar problem, and can save me some heartache & pain in solving this one.
Have a 1998 wide body Camry manual sedan.
Cigarette lighter socket has no power to it, but worked OK last week,(I use it for charging my mobile phone) 15A cigarette lighter fuse is OK, & 30-40A fusible link which backs up cigarette socket & other items is also OK.
Did a search on the net and can find a couple of references to a Camry cigarette socket service bulletin from Toyota, but no details.
Haven't got a wiring diagram, and haven't got a clue where to start removing console panels to check wiring back from rear of cigarette socket.
If anyone has had a similar problem, or knows where to get a wiring diagram, or how to remove console cover, I would be most grateful.

when i worked at toyota we had this alot, and mostly it was a blown fuse due to the cig lighter being loose and shorting out. remove the centre suround, i think it just pulls out with maybe a screw hiding under the ash tray. tighten up the cig lighter, change the fuse and try again.
