Just wondering if anyone has used and can recomend a detailer or similar to polish and or paint cam covers in the brisbane area

I just polished mein along with all the rest of the stuff..its not that hard if u got a good bench grinder and use some elbow grease. The cam cover is not as rough cast aluminium as the manifold ..so it comes up. You need a sisel buffing wheel which is a rough wheel to get the aluminium smooth. You also need a brown chalk for the sisel wheel and white chalk for finishing on a soft wheel. You can buy all this from Bunnings. Then just get stuck into it...
