ive discovered exceeding amounts of oil blow by. after a hard run i find the engine bay covered in oil. the rocket cover breather has not been plumbed into the air intake yet. even on cold start up it blows way to much smoke. ive been pickin my brain to find other reasons hoping its not not the rings.
Any input is appriciated.

give your car a compression test, good way to tell if something internal gone wrong.

Does the engine still run fine? Its not uncommon to break ring lands on the pistons with these engines (from detonation), but it should be relatively obvious when it runs like its on 3 cylinders Crying or Very Sad At idle it may sound like you've installed some really fat cams Razz

How long have you had the engine running in the car?

I know that you probably don't want to hear this, but I agree with TE72_Turbo here... sounds like you may have lost a piston "3T-GTE style".

Thankfully, when the piston breaks between the ring lands, it doens't do major damage to your cylinder bore.

Do a compression test, it will soon tell you if this is the problem or if it is something else.

If it is a piston, time to rebuild - throw in a set of forgies straight away, you'll be glad you did!
