Hi,
Can a 2T distributor be used in a 2T-G without modifications?
Thanks in advance.

since when ?
same block, same oil pump type.
same gear drive, 4 cylinders, points ?
you can use an electronic dizzy in a 2t, so why not a points 2t dizzy in a 2tg ?
early 2tg's were the same points dizzy anyway werent they

The Dizzy's are NOT the same.
You CANNOT use a 2T dizzy in a Carby 2TG, might get away with in in an EFI one but probably not. The fine adjustent dial fouls on the manifold preventing the correct timing adjustment/orientation of the dizzy. A 2TG dizzy does not have this dial and the shaft lengths are different to allow clearance.
So the short answer is NO it won't fit !

Nice avatar I haven't seen that engine for a while !
Not sure on swapping the internal. I can't see any real reason why it shouldn't work altho the weights and dizzy graph in a 2T will be different to a 2TG one due to the different Cam/reving characteristics. So you will need to have it regraphed
