Brake master cylinder sizes Thu, 07 October 2004 04:01 Go to next message
I'm trying to find a 1" brake master cylinder for my car.

The ST205 has one, but these are rare to find (& I don't think it will fit with my firewall shape)

Are there any other Toyotas with this size or larger master cylinders that could possibly be used?

I think they have 4 bolts holding it to the booster.

Cheers

nissan skyline R30 up, and they have the same 2 bolt spacing as corolla, sprinter etc.

But they are a dual master so watch how you set it up

Landcruiser = 2 bolt, fits straight onto other boosters. MX83 (and presumably supra?) = 4 bolt, also 1". As for the 3 bolt ones, I'm not sure.. I've got an AE101 GZE one lying around, I could check that, but I THINK it's only 15/16?? You'd be wanting a 3 bolt one would you waggonist?

guys, MAKE SURE you measure the m/c depth compared to the rod length. this needs to be the same, some brake booster rods have a screw on the end you can adjust otherwise you may need to shorten/lengthen it.
