Starting a car that's been sitting for ages

Hi all,
This might seem like a dumb question, but I figure its better I ask than just go ahead and screw something up:
My celica (ra23, 18rg) has been sitting for around 7-8 months without being started, I want to get it back up and started so I can enjoy it again...
the question:
is there anything I need to do when I attempt to start this car up?
ie: oil change, let it run for x time, or anything like that?
Cheers all for the help

Remove the spark plugs, pour a few drops of oil into each cylinder and crank engine over by hand a few times. Replace the plugs and try starting it. Let it idle for a bit and warm up. Change the oil and take it for a spin.

You might want to pull the rocker cover and give the cams etc a quick coat of oil as well (it can't hurt).
