URGENT : ST165 - need quick fix Sat, 09 October 2004 13:28 Go to next message
Hey, I need to get the electric fans to operate continuously as it seems that they aren't getting a good signal (yes i know that this isn't the best solution, I just need a really quick temporary fix so I can get the damn thing home tomorrow). What's the easy way? Does the ECU ground it out or something, which wire would I cut/disconnect to get them to permanently run? Or do I have to get down near that water junction near the dizzy and disconnect something there?

Cause that would involve buying a piece of wire Smile

THE SIMPLE WAY! FIND YOUR WATER PUMP, THERE IS A THERMO SWITCH THERE, UNPLUG THE WIRE GOING TO THAT AND YOUR FANS WILL SPIN UNTIL YOU PLUG IT BACK IN, OR TURN YOUR CAR OFF.

SORRY FOR THE CAPS.

CHEERS - IT'S A LITTLE LATE BUT THAT'S BASICALLY WHAT I DID, CURRENT DIAGNOSIS IS THAT THE RADIATOR IS PARTIALLY BLOCKED AND THE THERMOSTAT IS METRO.

Apology accepted Wink
