ive got no spark either!

ive got a fat yellow spark 6mm long from the coil lead to earth, but only when cranking, not when i flick the points open (yes, ign is on.) theres no spark at the points or plugs and only a piss weak yellow spark 1mm-2mm long from the HT leads. dizzy cap looks fine and the contacts inside are clean. could my coil be fucked? i will replace plugs and dizzy cap this arvo, should i fork out for a coil too? hope this helps some other people, this seems to be a bit of a common problem these days.
There are 2 circuits for the coil, one to give it power while
your cranking, and another one to give it power while in the
ON position. One way to check this would be to see if the car
push starts. The other is to temporaritly run a wire from the
12v + terminal on the battery to the + on the coil directly.
See if it starts after that, if it does your cranking supply is suspect.
