FJ40's are mad..... They are getting a bit dear these days though, and a lot have 350 Chev conversions or similar done. Check out any 4WD site for info. Did you try Google?
Be wary of rust!!

I had one for a couple of years ,one of the best cars I have had,
What do you want to know about them.
They are 6 cylinders petrol or diesel, soft top or hard top, pretty good off road, not really that quick or comfortable when stock.do yourself a favour look at a few first and look close there is plenty of shit heaps out but some good ones as well

Hey, thanks for the reply man,
Just want to know, what moors they have, not interested in performance, more reliabilty. They seem to range from late 60's to 80's, 20 years, iis a long production line!

I have a fj62 ATM that the wife drives and it has the 3f which is a lot like the 2f found in the fj40 and you can't kill them.
They don't rev much ,they don't go hard but man they just keep going.Service them and you will not have a problem ( don't service them and you still won't have a prob just make sure it has oil and water.
Honest mate best thing to own go anywhere anytime only down side is they aren't to good on fuel,Mind you after driving my V8 commodore the cruiser is great on fuel
As to 20 years of the same thing...........Why fix if it's not broken

I had an FJ45 i miss it sooooooooooooo much they don't build cars like that anymore.
Make sure u don't go over 60 mph
cuz the bonnet would fly up on mine as soon as i hit 60 mph
I swapped the motor over in mine to a holden 253. Mine hadn't seen daylight for the 1st 4 years of its life as it had been used in the mines. It's still goin strong to this day all it needed was a gearbox as i split it end to end (make sure u don't get the alloy gearbox)
How many cars do u no where the roof come off with like 8 bolts ?
the grill and the windscreen fold down to make life easyer.
it's not flash but u should buy one u will struggle to break it.
