sub distortion

i finally had my sound system CRANKING and then i got a little sideways and the sub went a crashin and ever since its sounded like shit, vibrating distotion sound, how can i check whats broken, the sub or the box?

well taking the speaker out of the box is a good start...
To check the speaker, just gently push/pull the cone in thru its normal amount of travel, if you feel/hear any scratchyness, ur up for a new speaker.
Next time, either ditch the sub, or tie the bastard down.

You make baby jesus cry.
You should've said the box was damaged. Ofcourse its going to sound different!
Also, lower frequencies are difficult to detect when they are distorting.
If you were in vic - the place to be, I could've fixed the box for you, if you wanna take a long drive, I like my subs in the meatball variety
