well taking the speaker out of the box is a good start...

To check the speaker, just gently push/pull the cone in thru its normal amount of travel, if you feel/hear any scratchyness, ur up for a new speaker.

Next time, either ditch the sub, or tie the bastard down.

Cheers.

You make baby jesus cry.

You should've said the box was damaged. Ofcourse its going to sound different!

Also, lower frequencies are difficult to detect when they are distorting.

If you were in vic - the place to be, I could've fixed the box for you, if you wanna take a long drive, I like my subs in the meatball variety Wink

Cheers dude, g/l finding a decent enclosure.

OR i'll make a custom box, and rather than having a sub box and 2 6x9 boxes i can make one big fancy box with all 3 speakers in it, would that work???i could put brackets on it and bolt it down too...

i didnt know the box was broken, when i read ur post i unscrewed the speaker and inspected the box
