Mine's actually always been pretty good, but it's just a case of the rubber seal going hard & shrinking, if you can't get a new one from toyota (& I'd be a bit suprised if you couldn't) you could pull the old seal off & cut a new one out yourself. Just use rubber that is a little bit thicker but still has plenty of "spring" left in it.
