Oh very nice, this is inspirational. What did you pay for the 3SGTE? It's something I'd like to do myself, if the price is alright. Are they hard to find for sale? What kind of performance increase (output and so forth) are you expecting?
Argh, so many questions!!
Oh and replace those wheels, urgh!

Damn, those are some good numbers. I reckon it'd be a bitch to hold the wheel straight while gearing! Great price though, I'm gonna have to look into that. Gotta find a way to keep up with my buddy's R32 haha.
As for the wheels, eh, just personal taste. They feel like they'd look better on a Gemini or something *shrug* but it's all good!

Umm - a couple of questions - how did you modify the gearbox so that it'll handle 150-160kW at the wheels?
Secondly, what kind of engine is it that is going to put out ~200kW at the fly to support the theory behind the 150-160kW atw!???

i havnt moddified the g/box to handle the power, when it blows up i'll deal with it then, it'll hang on for a while, i've seen plenty more power put through these boxes.
as for your second question, st185 3sgte.

thats a negative on the swap, you should have bought this car when it was for sale, i paid 1k for it, that included wheels, only shitty part was that i had to goto taree and tow it back to brisbane. it was worth it though.

Nice project, I like turbo'd ST162s If the gearbox was OK before, then it'll probably hang in there. If it already was shitty, it will become more and more shitty, like mine!
But you're right, you can always deal with that afterward. I take it you're using an ST162 clutch disc with an ST185 clutch cover?
