Yep, I'd say it would, and probably do it damn well. I have a haltech running my 1g and it does it very well.
THe only thing you might have trouble with is your CAS. If you do, email me and I'll tell you how to fix it. Haltech don't really know how to fix it, but i've been through it so I know how now.

Personally, I'd prefer the Haltech, but as has been said on many occasions, it depends on your end requirements, and depends even more on your tuner and their abilities.
Get as good as you can afford, bvut make sure there is a reputable tuner that you can access that can do the work.
