i am starting to get my rt104l on the road and was wondering how do i go about putting the air conditoning onto my 18rg.
its factory air con so i dont wanna take it out just cause im puttin a bigger engine in

Hi,
The bottom pulley on the engine has to be a dual unit. One pulley runs the alternator etc as per normal, and the other pulley runs the a/c compressor. The a/c compressor is bolted to the exhaust side of the engine.
I assume you have all the parts - ie compressor, evapourator, mounting bolts and brackets and the piping? I just got mine regassed last week and it pulls down to 4.1 deg cels. Lovely and cold.

note - the air con compressor is quote different between the 18RG and the 18rc. you will also need new pipes made up once you actually have the copmressor too.

my 18rg has a 3-groove pulley that'l be good coz im runnin power steerin on my ra40 and it'll need a belt from somewhere to run the pump.
wots wrong with havin the ac comp. under the carbies??

That's where the distributor is on an 18R-G.
