should i rent a UTE? trailer (arent they small?)-but i dont have a towbar... , or any other options??
if i were to rent a ute..i dont think it can carry queen size bed..too wide i reckon...??

Hey,
Did the move to Sydney from Adelaide a few weeks back. Moved pretty much the same as you by the sounds. Contacted a few transport companies and they charge by space and weight.
My queen size bed, tv, cabinet, boxes etc came in at just under $1000.
In the end, I got it moved cheaper through work, altho that doesn't really help you.
Not sure if you can hire a trailer in Adelaide and drop it in Sydney? Check prices on hiring a small truck, altho its a LONG drive (and I did it in the Supes, not a moving truck!), believe me.
Good luck dude.

Hi,
Often the transport companies will take back-loads. Basically, if they transported something to somewhere, they need to return. It's more economical to return with some load rather than empty. You usually get it cheaper if it's a back-load job.

steal the work Ute (or anything capable of pulling a double-axle trailer) then hire a double-axle trailer with cage.
why abuse your own car(s) when there's a well maintained work one justitching for serious application of torque.
