Hey all,
Wondering if there is any one out there that has put a KE70 or similar rack and pinion steering setup into a KE30? From searching i think that the KE70 might be slighly wider then the KE30? Yeah?
I'm very keen to find out.
Cheers.

Yep, KE70 is wider - you'll need to find a rack to suit your current steering geometry if you don't want to spend time modifying all those factors to avoid bump steer.

Yeah thats what i thought, thanks.
Does anyone know of any websites which can explain bump steer and setting up steering! I've found a little but no good tech articles on the subject.
cheers.

I have done this conversion. Its a hard conversion to do. Don't bother trying unless you like a challenge just for the sake of the challange. Its posiable, but things need to be modifyed.
Bump steer clue: try and make the lower control arm the same length as the steering arm. Also, make both the steering arm and lower control arm parallel. If you have both these things, it should work.
