Does Anybody know what model cars had the 210 hp 1G ?

I'm looking at a 1G conversion for my SA63 and i've heard this motor is a good choice . But if i'm going to put 1 in i want it to be the best one.
Also if anybody had any clues as to the price of a 1/2 cut for these that would be great . I'm assuming 2-3 G's ?

Probably around $2000 for an auto cut, $2500 for a manual. Some mob in brisbane quoted me $2000 for an manual, but with no warranty.

W55 will be fine, although you will need a G-series bellhousing. I'm sure the S-W55 bellhousing would definetly be worth something though.

power output is 210 hp as the figures state for a GEN III, first problem was a Blown HG, second problem was a blown bottom end, mind you dropping a motor off a forklift 2 metres onto the ground would help that, espeicially when the pickup is bent like all fuck, third one is running sweet ATM and seems like it will be all good apart from some turbo noise, but i have 3 spare ones anyway so is all good.
The only thing to watch out for is the turbos as they tend to sieze up but thats a good excuse to whack on a highflowed CT26 anyway
I reckon thats what I am gonna do when these ones die

mr1ggte: are the turbos on the 1G ct20's? or bigger,if they are CT20's what improvments did they make on the original 3TGTE ct20 as I have read that this turbo is pretty ineffecient...It might be a good no hassle upgrade for my 3Tgte...thanks main...

They are CT12's, and they are tiny. Technically, the Gen3's are the ones with 210hp, its a bit fuzzy about the Gen2's. Gen1's are definetly 185hp.

Rebuild it if you really want. I just changed all the seals and belts. Don't bother upgrading the turbos until you want over 150-160rwkw.

JCMF beat me too it, they are CT12's and CT12's are shit, i would put them on anything, they are just too small and cant handle dick all boost without blowing something...
I really doubt ill go back to TT if i do it will be a nice pair of T28 Ball Bearings but i have a feeling that will be too laggy for the little 1G, right now the CT26 off the 7M is looking the goods, or maybe some rediculous garret truck turbo

T28 Ball Bearing off an S15 Silvia, they have steel wheels and boost up hard due to them being ball bearing, good for about 17PSI easily too, more with big FMIC and Dump

This above is a really bad idea, the turbo offers no extra power, with more lag. You can high-flow it and watch the lag get worse.
As he also said though, an S15 turbo is nice, as is a GT25 variant from Garrett.

The S15 turbo would start roughly around the $1k mark (could be less, but oppurtunity is everything), up to a couple of grand for the brand new. Seriously though, don't stuff around with changing them straight away if you're on a tight budget, you're better off getting it in, getting all the niggling problems sorted from the conversion then changing the turbo later when you can afford it.

Yeah but it is also a lot easier and cheaper to fit tho, you can use adaptors because the toyota motor is different to the nissan motor in that the turbo is backwards, the CT26 is merely an option if you are on a tighter budget

Why would you spend money to install a turbo that performs no better than the factory twins? The twins are smaller for sure, but there is two of them.

And how is it easier than the Nissan turbo at all? Both require either a new turbo manifold or an adapter between the two 1G ones.

So keeping it bog stock untill i get it working right would be the best option ?
So i'm guessing $2500 for a 1/2 cut
I could maybe do most if not all of the fabrication myself so get it mounted.
I'm guessing around $1500/$2000 for getting the wiring done.
is there anything else i've missed ?
Also $700 for unseen items

So i'm looking at around $6000
I've got a 2.5 inch zorst with no cat.
This should be do the job shouldn't it ?
I will have to pay to get the turbo system hooked up to the zorst system too.

Meh, just get a gt30...I was thinking about keeping the supra as TT as it would spool up earlier, but i think overall its better off to go one big fuck off turbo, hence gt30...well, when i can afford one and all the other things that ill need to do aswell.
Jon
But back on topic...Good luck with it all buddy

Back off topic
You'd be better off saving your money and spending it on a 1j or 2j in a GA70. The 1g is too small and low in torque for those cars.

hehe 1j =1jz-gte, or the engine that came in late model Mk 3's and Soarers, and the 2j =2jz-gte which is out of the Mk 4 supra. and GA70 is a model in the Mk 3 range...
lumpy, i know a 1j or 2j would be ideal...but i really cant afford either!!! hehe.

They're worth more than a 1G They're big inline sixes, for ease and cost and handling purposes...just stick to a 1G

Ummm, theyre both inline 6's...not too sure on a 1j, but a 2j would cost you between 6 and 10 grand!!! Theyre not cheap by any means!!!
