What a mad wastegate setup!!!
That looks heaps smarter than any other way I have seen them mounted (on turbo cars in general).
That is definitely an XR6 turbo (and a big fu*ker of a turbo.)

I was the one that posted the pic. It was in the stupiidest turbo design thread.
The pic is of tghe Nizpro development engine from the current XR6T pumping out 1035 hp at 23 psi.

I was imressed by the wastegate setup as well....... Only problem is that it's entering the dump pipe at 90 deg. to the exhaust flow.... But who cares, it's making over 1000hp!!!

bugger whether it is hot or not. will he trade for a stock 3T?
We can all dream. if i had that motor i would
1) be dead by now
2) not need to be here coz it would be a hybrid and not a true toyota
3) need a master card to pay the speeding fines..

always thought big numbers could be pulled from these motors, wonder what the cost to them has been? 
their cobra upgrade kits arent exactly cheap, but i suppose they'd offer fairly reliable power(you'd hope for 20 grand that the promised 350rwkw will last a while )
