jap spec brakes?

anyone out there able to definately tell me the original thickness of some jap spec AE-86 front discs? need to know, as am looking at gettin some new discs machined up...

Cant get much more definate than the manual which says 18mm.

18 mm solids would be a sight to behold, helpfull unsprung weight as well.

wouldnt it be cheaper just to get new disks ??
Specialist Brake and clutch down here in Sydney can get both new JDM fronts and rears for like $130 a disk including slotting, so thay are about just find a good Brake shop.
