HELP!! celica 86 engine

i just bought celica 86 ST162 (my engine code is 3SFE). i really want to swap the engine to 3SGTE but i dont really have an idea where can i find the engine or do i have to get the whole half cut or i can just buy the engine.
anyone who know or have any experience, please advise me and also the cost as well. and i also looking for some other stuffs at the same time too.

I have been looking around in modified shop but they seem to not interested in this car. of cause i did the research for this stuffs but still not sure that the price is good. that why I tried to find some more help.

alrighty...
well, important things first. Are you intending on performing the engine swap yourself or are you going to pay a workshop to do it?
I would recommend getting a frontcut for the conversion. ST185 is probably the easiest celica 3sgte front cut to obtain?? So you can swipe goodies from it, ie. brakes, driveshafts, etc. I don't know wether they would be an upgrade from ur stock items, thats where more research will have to be made.
3sfe to 3sgte should be fairly straight forward. There are plently of engine importers in melbourne, if you are completely stumped, take a look at the yellow pages or something...
One nice conversion I came across was project st162. Site is written up in dutch, so use a language converter if you find it.
Trust me, click the little search button at the top of the forums, try keywords like 3sgte st162, etc.

i have to agree, this topic has been covered alot, there are several st162 3sgte's on these forums, i have done the coversion, but that doesn't mean come to me for advice. Do a search ON THESE FORUMS for this conversion, if you still can't find the info that you want ask, and i might be able to help.
