MX83 GL Cressidas? Wed, 20 October 2004 00:59 Go to next message
I saw 2 of these yesterday.
Both white with unpainted bumpers.

Where are they from?
They weren't ever sold here, right?

My mate has a GL model MX83. Seems to be the base model. 14" wheels, nothing special. although it does have all the normal options air, pwr steer, all the electrics. The bumpers are also colour coded. Might be an optioned up GL model???

When they first released the MX83 here they released GLs (totally standard) and GLXs (colour coded bumpers etc) the year after they dropped the GL and had Grande (sun roof, cd, lsd etc) and GLX.

I've never seen one around my self, but they were sold here briefly

GL MX83 Cressida's were only available in 89~90.

Compared to a GLX
- No Colour Coded Bumpers
- No cruise control
- No adjustable rear headrests
- 3 way adjustable drivers seat (versus 7 way)
- No climeate control (still had AC)
- Radio only (no cassette)
- Cloth interior (rather than velour)
- Clock instead of tacho too i believe, not sure on that one.
- Silver cressida emblem on front grille (rather than gold)

That would explain why these 2 looked in pretty poor condition.

In fact, the crappier of the 2 had a decent exhaust note Laughing
