For $250000, I would expect nothing less than Indiglo electroluminescent dash dials.

But it's a 2000GT!, you don't buy it to have the best handling / performing car in the world, you buy it to own something rare and unique Wink

You wouldn't want to drifto a 2000GT

I read somewhere that there were only 2 convertibles made and one was destroyed in a james bond movie???

Checkout the HPI volume 5 dvd (might be volume 6), some dickhead in japan was modifying one in a workshop and put in a 2jzge

why not drift it Razz
seriosuly they wouldnt drive too bad cosnidering that a sizable portion of us here are old school fanatics with the likes of ke1x/2x xt/2x rt40 crowns etc
and something a lot of ppl readily forget is that this car set new benchmarks in quality speed reliability etc

also in regards to the convertable one with a 2jzg(t)e conversions he cited the lack of parts for the reason he did it
obviosuly he hasnt dropped into here Evil or Very Mad

edit: by memory 1 sold last year in sa 4 somethign like 80k aud

Apparently there used to be a 2000GT in Canberra during the 70s. Dad told me that he used to see it nearly everyday driving to work.

He doesn't know what happened to it...possibly its still in Canberra?

The current issue of Classic & Sportscar (UK) has an article on the Shelby 2000 GT's of the late 1960's.

The cars looked great with their blue or red racing livery and wider verison of those beautiful factory alloys.

Too bad I am a tightarse and didn't buy it to scan it for you all Evil or Very Mad
