Hmmmm... I've actually been thinking lately that some newer banners mightn't be a bad idea.. There are a few cars up there at the moment that haven't been around the club for years.

Unfortunately we can probably only have a limited number of car banners (due to advertising requirements for sponsors) but I'll put the suggestion through to the rest of the board and see how much trouble it would be to work some new ones in there..

Hey Michael, I don't know whether we're better off replacing the older stuff, or just adding more new ones and have each one seen less often.. Don't know how possible it would be to do that and still maintain a certain number of views for the advertising banners at the same time..

It all depends on how smart your ad software/photo rotating software is....Surely you could have 2 catagories of pictures to choose from making one a higher preference than the other. That said I'm no programmer Embarassed and have no idea really...

The software is smart enough.

BTW guys, this might be a good opportunity to just change to the standard banner size....
Those ones up the top, I did in my spare time one night and we're even meant for advertising of any sort... Just wanted to fill up some space.

This is all up to the Board of course, but new banners would be great!

Had forgotten about this thread momentarily, but lets bring it back up. The idea of some new banner ads was well received by all, so let's do it. Cool

There's been a slight change with things though. With the move to the newer (more reliable) ad-server, the banner ads have been scaled down to a more standardised size (I believe this is 468 x 60 - Max, can you clarify this size?)

stereomike & Rob - Your designs are quite good. I know the new sizing is a fair bit more restrictive in what you can fit in, but do you want to see if you can work out something along the lines of your original ideas?

If anyone else with skills in this sort of stuff wants to put something together (be it a model of car we don't have up there yet, or simply a new design) then please send it to me via PM or email to pmbridge@gmail.com.
