hey guys i need a distibutor cap for my st162 celica sx 3sge ?? also a lead that goes from the coil to the cap, thanks guys

I got one, I can send to you for like, $10 or something? Dunno 'bout the lead though just go to any old auto-electrician and you can get them for 4/5ths of bugger all...

Well it came off of a perfectly fine firing ST162 - probably done 200,000 though. I happened to come across one from a ST184 and stuck that on my car as it looked less old 
I know it can be a bit of a pain though, when I went to get a new ST162 dizzy cap they told me $90 and that I'd have to wait for bosch to MAKE one...

repco sell 'em real cheap too
I have a pretty ok one here too.. but FWDboy get's first option  lol I replaced my dizzy (when I broke my old one  ) and the new one came with a cap so.. yeah

what kind of price can u get on a ST162 dizzy new Rob? Cause Repco/Sprint were gay-i-fied over here in adelaide.

well I had it out to replace that forever-leaking oil seal (so nice to have no leak there now) and I THOUGHT I have left the engine at TDC.. well.. anyway long and embarassing story, but I cracked the shaft trying to get it back in. And it wasn't very hard either.

I bought a new cap from repco (the one I am now not using) for like $30 I think.. or 60..crap, I can't remember, but I just walked in there and said "yo! el bitcho! get yo' ass out da back and get me some 3SGE distributor"
well not really
but they just went out the back and got it! Could probably get you another one.. as IF repco can't ship one down for you though.. They are like a dull orange and ugly, but fit fine!
