That is the sorta stupidity that p platers do that reflect onto everyone else.

Yeah the title was a little tounge in cheek 
But Evan got it right, it's people like that who reflect poorly on the whole population, be they P-platers, Commodore drivers, young males in high powered cars etc...
Keep giving them reasons & it'll be the majority of good drivers who will end up paying the price.

i got detoured around it on my way home from work that day. that road is not the best with a very short dual lane overtaking section that really encourages people to speed to overtake slow drivers who actually speed up in the dual lanes...
another reason for better taining of older drivers aswell as younger drivers to be sensible and maintain constant speed aswell as skilling for nasty situations
just my 2c as i drive that road twice every weekday and usually a couple of times on a weekend too
this is a real tragedy but its not the first time someone has been killed within that 1 kilometer and it wont be the last

That's the point I was trying to make about banding people into the same category. While the majority of drivers are good there is the small minority who will continue the tradition...
And when the government wants to limit when you can drive, the type of car you drive or the number of passengers you can take with you, well???
Want a stereotype? The Corolla driver was a woman Oh yeah I realise I drive a Corolla...
Want another? I was a P-plater in a Torana, imagine the flack I copped in the past

yes i drive a commo and a rolla
i see a alot dickheads in commos but i see more in jap cars thinking they got somthing to prove and drive like a tool
almost got wiped out friday night, some dick in a lancer started to drift around a conner and missed my car by 10 cms
sad thing is most jap car drivers used to own commos

This is such a terrible thing to happen, unfortunatly it happens all to often! I think everyone joking about it should show a little compassion for the families of these poeple i'd hate to think what they are going through & we should all use this accident as yet another wake up call to be carefull on the roads & slow down, i know i sound like im preaching but just remember that it is better to get the a little late, rather than not get there at all!

How do you figure that?
I had a VK commodore and although i was responsible for some stupid driving (arent we all?) I also knew my limits, I wasnt a bogan, also how many commodores are driven by people that arent dickheads?
A Lot of them, you should really rephrase that clown becase its not just commodore drivers that cant drive, i have seen my fair share of imports drive by absolute fucking tossbags...MR2's included

I'm surprised this is even a point worth debating, to be honest. I think it goes without saying that for every dickhead Commodore driver, there's just as many dickhead import drivers. That said, both sides of the great divide have a lot of very skillful and responsible representatives, and it's a shame we have to focus on the wankers.
The divide doesn't have to be great.

I am a local to this area, and there is a website just for the subculture of driving around this area.
This guy seemed pretty popularish and everyone is shook up.
Paying condolences..etc

If u saw the actual article pic, the car was ripped in half.
Stupidity, one moment of careless non-thinking and overjudging abilities could do this. Virtually murder.
Also killed an oncoming car which was a young girl who was a P plater. She was young, perhaps inexperienced, but I am sure even put someone who can handle a car like simonrx7 (no nitpicking just he is a really good driver) in this girls position and his skill couldnt even avoid being cleaned up. It was a 2 lane, broken line road I believe, and to overtake... had to cross lanes into oncomming traffic.
It has been raining recently here, anyone from around here confirm that a wet road had any play in this scenario?

It's the nature of society to attempt to find humour in other people's tragedy, unfortunate as that fact is. It helps them avoid thinking about the fact that it could happen to them, it helps them avoid getting depressed about it, etc. Again, this is just human nature, so to accuse somebody of insensitivity for making a non-malicious joke about someone they've never met.. Well hey, you'd be justified in your accusation, but it being human nature, it'd be a lost cause.

My mate goes on there all the time, I was at his place friday nite which is when i first heard about this accident, there were heaps of condolences messages then, i'd say there would be alot more now,
