 Ignition lock stuck....HELP

Hi there everyone....
I had my ke55 stolen some time back, and the steering lock and ignition broken. I have got my trusty ke70 donor car waiting to donate the ignition lock, I took the steering wheel off, the steering shroud off, removed the three bolts that hold the ignition in place, removed the indicator and wiper control assbly off and took out the little circlip on the steering rod..
I put the key in the ignition and made sure the lock is in the open possition, BUT... the ignition lock seems to still be jammed on something and wont "free-up". Has anyone got some suggestions as to what I can do to get this off?

you have the key in the wrong position and have forgotten an important step, will PM you.

Update:
Have got it out, thanks for your help....
PS: found out that the ke70 ignition doesn't fit the ke55...
So, no need for it now
