Buying new Thermo Fans Sat, 23 October 2004 04:40 Go to next message
Can anyone tell me where I can purchase 'low noise' thermo fans for my toyota camry somewhere in Melborune, pref Sth East Suburbs? The ones ive got are quite noisy when there on. I was wondering if there are replaceable ones that are little less noisy.

Thanx

The noise , is it just the air noise the fans are creating? If so, thats a good thing to be moving lots of air. A quieter fan very well could be just moving less air.

No, the actual fans are noisy, possibly the bearings.
I want some hi quality fans to move a good amount of air
and be whisper quiet in there operations (apart from the air).

Davies Craig are good quality fans. I've been using one for 4 years or so without a problem. Not the cheapest fans though.

This site might help -
http://www.daviescraig.com.au/main/display.asp

But yeah, I just got mine from an Autopro shop. Might be worth doing some calling around for the best price.

If your fans are stuffed, go see Toyospares - they usually bend over backwards trying to get rid of Camry fans dirt cheap, certainly not worth blowing $500 for a couple of Davies, Craig fans when $10 or $20 will get the issue sorted!
