Haynes Celica Manual...........What the!

Years ago I bought the Haynes workshop manual 92015(935)Toyota Celica 1971 thru 1985. I just found it hidden away after a 1/2 day search for the bloody thing. It has STUFF ALL in the book to do with the TA22 and the 2T. What the hell is going on with this? Is there a Toyota factory service manual available for the old girl? Might as well wipe my arse with this $30 Repco special.

I've got the same manual. No 21-rc in it either. I'm glad I got it because it's my first car and I'm not used to pulling it apart etc. But yeah, not good if you wanna work on the engine.

after tripping off the plastic - and quickly browsing thru it - i found NOTHING and promptly asked for a refund -
a lot of umming and ahhing by the guy behind the counter got my bristles up - wuth me ending the convo - before refund with " why would i want to keep a book with fuck all info on my car, use your brain - and gimme my $$ back ! "

thats cos the us and aussie versions were basically the same... but the old celicas (ra40 and prior) had all weird stuff done to the for the US market (eg 20r's in ra23's?, impact bumpers, and other assorted dumb shit)

Actually my Hayne manual covered mainly US and Euro-spec RA6xs but also made mention to Jap and Aussie-spec cars when there were differences.

yes well......
to tell the truth the Haynes celica manual is printed for the US market, I have a copy of it. But I also have a copy of a gen Toyota "T" series engine repair manual covering 2T, 2T-B, 2T-C, 2T-G, 3T and 3T-C.
I also have a workshop manual for celica's '71 to '75, covering LT, ST and GT models, this manual is a professionaly reprinted edition of early overseas manuals.
I came across these books when doing my engine, firstly the workshop had the engine repair manual, so I asked if I could buy one, and they said try this bookshop.
So to cut a boring story short, It was by chance that the bookshop had the engine repair manual(2nd hand but in top condition), and also by chance the man there know about this other manual.
cost me $70 all up, but well worth it and I will claim them back on tax.
By the way the bookstore is called "Drysdayles auto books"
the only specialise in auto manuals and auto books.
In Albert street in Brisbane across from Festival Hall.

I got the '71 - '85 RWD book as well (the one with max's sexy machine on the front)
it was damn helpful for the ra65. admittedly there were a few photos where the brake booster & steering column were on the wrong side of the car.. but very useful none the less.

yeah ive got two manuals.. one i think is a factory 71-77 celica manual and one an aussie printed reproduction which is HUGE and has heaps in it they came with my car. i would scan them but i dont have one and theres like 800 pages!
justin do you just want to borrow them or something? maybe able to arrange something. i actually dont have a lot of use for them as i will be using a nissan motor so if they fetch a high enough price i could be persuaded to part with them. they are both in reasonable condition for their age
