Like i said in Stumpy's thread i ws originally waiting till i got the white Buddy Club rims on to post a thread but since there has been two other 165 threads now i don't feel so left out!
I bought the car in January this year stock as a rock apart from the Apexi BOV. I paid 9k, which was above market value but theprevious owner is a very good friend of mine and i know the car was treated meticulously. Somehting like 5k spent on it just to get it perfect. After draining his bank account just to get it up to perfect condition he was totally over it so i made him an offer.
Since owning it i have tinted the windows, added a TRD panel filter, boost controller, 3" Aussie system, twin plate clutch, Greddy eManage piggy back computer, Bosch Motorsports fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, new ignition system including TRD leads, iridium spark plugs, new dizzy, etc.
The car is in the shop still from the last round of modifications so i haven't had a chance to drive it after a proper tune yet. Sitting at home waiting to go on is a CT20B turbo, ST185 exhaust manifold, lightened flywheel, and 540cc 7MGTE top feed injectors. After that i want to get a better intercooler and the full whiteline suspension kit. I am waiting for someone to find some new wheels so i can buy their Buddy Clubs off them too. Should be a few months. Anyway, enough crapping on, here is the car as snapped a few months ago. It is missing the decals on the drivers side door but i have replacement ones sitting at home waiting to be applied. Enjoy!
By the way, the VIN is 735!

Thats a nice looking unit, cant wait for the wheels, they should finish it off nicely. At least you shouldn't get to much hassle from the cops

For sure! Bout time i got some financial subsidisation here. I thought yours looked better than mine. The engine bay is a little cleaner, though when i bought mine it looked like that.
If youre after parts, www.alltrac.net and www.ebay.com are your best bet price wise. I picked up the CT20B for $AUD600 landed and when i rang up wreckers they couldn't even give me a price because they're not easy to come by.

Had a look at the injectors and they appear to be HKS. Had a look on the web and it seems they are 550cc not 540cc. I didnt see them installed on the car when i bought them but i know the car i bought them off and i have seen them running. Will be interesting to see if the buggers work when i get em on!
The turbo smart thing is good if you haven't got the money to spend on an electronic unit straight up, but having said that they're not exactly cheap. As far as GBC go this one seems fairly good. In retrospect i would have bought an electronic BC first but i didnt have the cash handy. For this car it doesn't matter so much, its not like it makes heaps of boost or power as it is anyway but still, an electornic one is always going to be preferable, but as i said its just a case of money. This seems to suit my purposes just fine atm but im aiming to get a Profec E01 to go with the eManage at some stage.
Puffy, you know you da man!
