I just adjusted my mixture and idle screw as I had been advised, Screw idle screw out 5 screws from all the way in, then set idle with accelerator stop screw, then dial mixture screw back until revs drop by 50-100rpm.
So now it is idleing nicely, but it is spitting black shit out the exhaust badly, when I put my hand infront of it I get brownish dots all over my hand, and when bigger drops come out, they look like water with brown oil floating on top??
Can someone please tell me what is causing this/how to fix it?
The exhaust is a newish 2.5" sports exhaust.
same thing happens on my rona takes about 3 minutes when idling then it starts to happen, when it dries though it doesn't look like oil, more like carbon deposits and it washes away with water unlike oil.
Its probably running too rich. Try turning the mixture screw in a bit further, as long as the revs don't drop much. There is no big problem realy, just that it will spit black stuff and you go through more fuel.
is it just when you start it up?? it might be the cold start injector... when it adds more fuel it may cause some over fuelling if your O2 sensor isnt warmed up or is faulty
